The leaders just argue BACK and FORTH. Not listening at ALL to Shadowsight and Rootspring even after they've been proven to speak nothing but the truth.
And then EVERY SINGLE LEADER except skyclan was therw when the dark forest attacked living cats, this is not any harder to believe besties

This is a very good book but i an also thoroughly confused about everything thats going on:

Why is it accepted to kill random cadets throughout the year? Why do the dragons attack the gryphons if theyre not the real enemy? Don't the dragons know this? What was the first revolution where Xaden and his buddies got those marks for? Why do the dragons even care for their riders? Where is the bonding? Suddenly they love Violet and Violet loves them and even though her and her dragons have more bonding than anyone else its still kinda unbelievable that the dragons in general would go through fire for a random human within a short timespan. As a matter of fact, WHEN did Violet suddenly become friends with Ridoc and Sawyer? It was never shown but suddenly they were friends.

this was a really weird book to explain the events mentioned in AVOS and as far as I know is the only book where the events actually get mentioned later on (the flood, stormcloud) but Bramblestar was really bland and his “love” with jessy was really fucking weird

i love mothwing and her atheism but her atheism has always been clearly shown, especially in the later arcs and this makes it seem like she really wanted to keep it secret. Then secondly the editing was a mess - there were a lot of random time jumps which were annoying. I understand their function but it kept the story from flowing well

a great book expending on the existing lore, though i must say there are some continuity errors (oakheart's death?)
