“But death was her curse and her gift, and death had been her good friend these long, long years.”
That was a strong emotive sequel! I loved it so much.
so much happened, so many twists and turns and I still can't fathom what i read.
there's huge improvement when it concerns the characters, I felt Celaena's character was more likeable in this book as we finally see her in action, I loved her friendship with Nehemia but her relationship with Chaol broke my heart and sewed it back by the end, Dorian is way cooler in this instalment and I'm glad he got his own development.
this the best book of the series so far, I love how everything comes together and there were so many explosive secrets. I absolutely loved Auren in this book, i was anxious all the time for her and wanted her to finally find herself and be happy. the romance in this book was satisfying and i would love to see more of the side characters in the future and i'm curious where the series is heading as this first arc is finally over.
Nesta is and always will be my favorite character in this series, besides Lucien.
i loved the focus on her trauma, her self-loath and how long-winded and remarkable her healing journey was.
I absolutely loved the Valkyries!! this series lacked strong female friendships and this one really delivered,
Emerie and Gwyn are very likeable characters, alongside the house of wind.
This could've been easily one of my favorite books because of Nesta's portrayal. it's just that there were many unnecessary things that shouldn't crossed Nesta's story and quite soured my liking for this book, I also felt different towards Cassian and the inner circle in general, i used to like them but I don't know anymore, I loved the focus on Eris's character though, and looking forward to see more of him.
the first part was enjoyable, and i loved the focus on Feyre and Lucien because i missed their friendship, but the rest of the book was a convoluted mess and the main characters started to get very annoying.
what i loved mostly is the development of Nesta's character, she and Cassian were more delightful to read about than others.
That being said, the author knows how to keep the story entertaining despite being a long book.
that was amazing, a huge improvement from the pervious book.
i like how the author took the story in a new direction. (Hades and Persephone is my favorite retelling.)
i adore Feyre, i didn't care much about her in the first book, but here? she was awesome. Rhysand, of course, is the star of this book and i can't stress enough on how good he is.
i think what i liked the most about this book is how more exciting it was, the pacing and the luscious romance also contributed to my enjoyment.
i also loved the side characters here, Amren was a cool addition to the story, Cassian and Nesta were amusing and can't wait to see more of their banter.
