updated to 5 stars upon reread. the arcs, the development, the reveal at the end, fantastic.

on reread, still 4 stars

Andy Weir is at it again - with another brilliant story, backed by vivid characters and the science to back up all that fiction.

(audiobook form this time) as delightful as ever

2024 reread: 4.5 stars. I loved the growth, both in Eragon and in Paolini, between these two books.

not in the right headspace for this one, will give it another go in a bit.

2025 reread: 4 stars. Is a little juvenile and a relic of its time, but a casually enjoyable read.

I really love how much the world opens up in this one. it really expands and becomes more of a fantasy world!
