I have a lot of criticism about how this book handled plot development, having the main character hold discussions in his head with imaginary people??? I understand what the author was going for (psychologist able to profile hard enough to make connections) but I was unable to suspend my disbelief enough when he was conjuring up whole people and talk to them about the case.
also, the audiobook was riddled with weird cuts in the middle of paragraphs where the narrator had re-recorded a line or two, with different inflection/tonal differences and it was weirdly jarring.
I wish thrillers weren't so hit-or-miss for me :(
