I read this after Most wonderful hoping for more queer couples. This novel focusses most on boring straight couples. I didn’t really enjoy any of their stories, and the Zach character was so insufferable it was hard to read through his bits. Zia and Clay were also stereotypes of human beings, couldn’t get into their story at all.

All in all, I think there were too many storylines, and none of them got enough time. The characters were not fleshed out almost at all, they all felt rushed and stereotypical.

I had to drag myself to finish this…

The writing was great, I enjoyed the style.

It was interesting reading about the challenges that arise from someone in a relationship transitioning.

The character of Tom was insufferable, and I am glad the author called out his Fisher Price socialism.

I found the pacing a bit uneven, I stopped reading for a while as I just wasn’t interested in some of the story.

Funny, touching and inspiring. An ode to queer community and friendship

Both books in this series are very chill, however I found the first one better constructed. I think this one is missing an overarching plot and feels a bit disjointed.

Just like the first book though, I enjoyed the philosophical conversations between Mosscap and Dex, and Mosscap's takes on humanity.

I’m really happy TJ Alexander is back with their signature feel good romance. I was a bit disappointed by Triple Sec but this novel has everything I love about their writing: witty characters, amazing chemistry between the leads and a lot of heart. Really enjoyed the book and can’t wait for the next one!
