This novel was an excellent read! I really enjoyed reading this. It is fiction and also non-fiction. Beautifully written prose that is quite poetic at times.

Really liked how three different stories were intertwined and brought to a conclusion at the end.

Lovely memoir by Etgar Keret. I really liked his sense of humor.

What a lovely book! Many inspiring photos and a few wonderful essays featuring fireflies from different perspectives. I have followed Pete online for a long time and have taken inspiration from his pictures to take some of my own which are nowhere close to his.

What a fantastic story!

I really like and enjoy everything John Green writes and this book is no exception. This is such a well told story, I didn't want it to end.

What a fantastic memoir!!! A breathtaking journey through changing relationship between a daughter and her mother. I couldn't put it down. Must have finished it in less than 24 hours from starting to read it. One lesson to take away is to buy a good long term care insurance and make use of it before I think I really need to.

In this collection, Sedaris is funny and compeling as always but, there is a darker edge to the humor. Stories about his family are more grim than before and almost made me uncomfortable reading them. Still, highly recommended!

Another excellent book by Sarah Vowell where she makes history interesting. This book tells the story of the American Revolutionary War from the perspective of Marquis de Lafayette. It was very interesting to learn about his backstory, what was going on in France during that time period and French involvement in the American Revolutionary War.

The book started off nicely like other Murakami books but, I was disappointed by the ending which seemed painfully contrived. Even with that ending, Murakami magical writing is very enjoyable.

Loved it!

Heard about this book on NPR and wanted to read it. Turned out to be better than what I expected. Lovely poems about married couples.

I love Sarah Vowell's writing style. She brings many disparate facts together to make a nice story. This book talks about history of Hawaii and how missionaries from New England took over the country spiritually and how their descendants took it over physically finally annexing it to USA. It is a sad story as the original culture and way of life of native Hawaiian people was destroyed similar to the native Americans on the mainland. Interesting read nonetheless.
