One of the best Indian mil fiction book. Had me engrossed for days. Would recommend it to everyone.

good book but after initial chapters the authors indulge in speculative nitpicking. not everything that Chinese do is genius. ex. cutting down troops , like what usa did , ignores the fact that USA extensively hired outside contractors to hold the ground. network centricity distributes c&c over a larger area.

Last two chapters were needlessly wordy.

Another excellent vsi. Does justice to the topic. Explains every facet from history to neurophysiology extensively.

There is no need to send a city with living humans across space when AI/robots carrying eggs can accomplish the same task in a cheaper and more efficient manner.
Auroras shows how live city generation ships are doomed to begin with. Plot was dry , narration uninteresting but the premise was interesting in the least.
Would recommend Arkwright instead.

Author has jumbled up the topic with concepts that require extensive explanations,relativity and quantum mechanics are very difficult to understand for the uninitiated . As the title suggests I have learnt nothing from this vsi.

Did i read a Murukami book ?

The author presents a very lucid and precise of the country, one of the best books on state of India, most of the topics that come on the noisy media have been discussed in a well research manner.
There is no stain of ideology or hyperbole that is generally associated with book on current affairs of the country. Hope to see more from the author.

Read if you liked ‘In spite of the gods', this book gives a broader economic/geopolitical picture.

This book is bit repetitive if you have read his other books but is still as profound and thought provocative. VRS is Sherlock masquerading as a neuroscientist, his has correctly deduced neuronal mechanisms for seemingly arcane conditions.

I always imagined physicist as awkward individuals holed up somewhere in seclusion where they could peer into the space time fabric in peace conjuring seemingly impossible formulas that has little relevance . This book has exposed me to the profoundness of their thoughts and the importance of physics on the modern world .

This is how history should be written.
This book is not a monotonously bland narration of events that lead to the atomic bomb. It is about how an innocuous speculation of mere existence of nuclear energy under vile pressure of world war compelled the most brilliant minds of the era into creating the most destructive weapon in the human history. This book is more about the scientists, their discoveries and philosophies than about the bomb. Every facet from science to geopolitics has been aptly covered. A must read for every curious mind.
