I'm glad her mom died too. Now she can get help.

“AM appeared to us as a burning bush and said we could kill the hurricane bird if we wanted to eat.” - Is this a reference to the bible?

Also, I will be throwing out all my electronics thanks to this story. But in all seriousness, I love dystopian genres, and the writing for this was short and to the point. Great read and free online if you google.

I came across Guns where he referenced this book a few times. I had to search google to find it to read. I was blown away by how good it was, this is the first time I read something by Stephen that was not a horror novel.

This can be adapted to an excellent screen play if there wasn't so much controversy surrounding this book. I could relate to Charlie with being fed up with teachers and parents, however his course of action was extremely wrong, and he was failed by everyone around him.

One review mentions Charlie's lack of depth and I agree spot on. Charlie felt very one dimensional and seemed to be written so that you feel sympathy for him. Not once throughout the story did he take responsibility for his actions, instead he told stories about his life that shaped the person that led him to his algebra classroom

First book of 2021 completed and it did not disappoint. I want to make an effort in reading more books about positivity and how to better yourself. I hope Ashly writes another book like this. It inspired me to make a little journal of every thing inspirational I've come across in books, television, magazines etc.

I recommend!

I loved every single thing about this graphic novel and I can't wait to actually buy it to add to my collection. I already downloaded volume 2, Delicates.

From the beginning I related to Marjorie, while I haven't lost a parent, I do know what it's like to feel like nothing goes right. The dynamic between Wendell and Marjorie was adorable and I enjoyed their interaction with each other. It seemed like they were brother and sister the way they fought due to the constant miscommunication. Marjorie's father needed to get his life together. His daughter is doing everything at the laundromat, trying to save it while going to school AND trying to grieve as well? Hopefully in the next installment they all get some therapy.

I received a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
