at first my mind kept going back to acotar and from blood and ash and for a while there i was scared i wasn't going to be able to separate the stories, but i wassss!!! after a while i didn't even remember the other books, the story developed and became its own. this was so good and the first ya book i truly liked, so so good.
Honestly – idk. It wasn't like.. revolutionary. I get that that wasn't the point, she said it herself at the end that the point was for them to have their happy ending. And I understand that, because that was what I wanted out of it too, but I can't help but feel like it could be more. It's missing ~something~. Maybe it was because I reread it ends with us before getting to this one, and I felt it soo much more than the first time, so perhaps i was expecting the same feeling here. Anyways, it WAS really freaking good, it just wasn't perfect I guess..
Although I admire and respect nesta's ~late~ development, I hated her throughout like 80% of the book (which made the book sooooo cringy) and after that it developed to only ~standing~ her.. I love cassian, he deserved so much more! Also this book could have been way shorter. 2 stars only out of respect for the first books
