

So... I knew this going into another Stirling book. He takes an incredibly cool idea... and just... grinds it into dust with so much detail and repetition. There's only so many times I can read a character's thought process about a technological innovation that's going to do so and so and I get it, I get the idea, seriously, but my god man, learn to edit this down. I loved the Emberverse series until like book 200 or so and I *dearly* hope this series doesn't make the same mistake. I'll read book three of course, but after I'll probably just find a summary.
