I enjoyed the book enough to be interested in the story, but something about it kept me from fully loving it. I’m not even sure what it was—maybe the flow, the pacing, or some unresolved issues?

Sadly, this one just wasn’t for me. 😔 I thought about DNFing it a few times, which is always disappointing because the premise sounded interesting. I just never fully connected with the FMC, the writing style, or the overall flow of the story. I kept waiting for it to click for me, but it never quite did. I really wanted to love this one though. 💔

I almost DNF'd this book, still not sure why I didn't. I guess some of twists kept me interested enough. The main issue I had is that the story felt like YA, not sure why. Since I didn't expect that it turned me off a bit.

I didn't know what to expect but I really enjoyed this story - I laughed, I got watery eyes (because I didn't officially cry) and I cheered. I will never see gingerbread the same again lol
