Good book full of twists and turns. Only reason I gave it four stars is because of the way it ends. It's like the author chose the killer out of a hat because he couldn't decide how it would end. If it weren't for the epilogue you'd be asking a milling questions at the end.

This book made me wish violence (perhaps a bit more than that 😂🤬) on someone and yet want to bawl my eyes out a chapter or two later. Knowing that this work of fiction is based off a real setting is cool. That said be prepared for a roller coaster of emotions.

This book was so good for so long but the end was kinda meh! It's almost like they wanted to just get it over with. That said it was still a good book. Good way to start the year.

This is cute and super sarcastic. There are many chapters where I was giggling the entire time! Oh and Ulysses and Jake are the best.

I found this book to be such a cozy good feeling book. I loved Spellshop too. It's just a different type of world that leaves you all warm and fuzzy.

What the heck just happened??? Wow that was insane. I'm gonna be honest the middle dragged for me but it did pick up again which was good. Still wow that ending was intense.

This was weird. It was sarcastic as hell and I loved that. However it jumped around a lot and I've still got some unanswered questions. I will definitely need to read the second book to see if those get answered. There were a few chapters in here that were a little much for me. Nyx is the best and was Pocco. I always seem to bond with the non-human characters lol

I read this as part of a Facebook book club and had never read Nora Roberts before. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It kept you guessing to the end all while expertly weaving a romance into the heart of a mystery.

This book was tough to get into. It jumped around a lot and it was very hard to follow at times. The twist at the end was good but not enough to redeem the book

This book jumps around a lot but eventually everything connects. As a former camp director this is my worst fear in book form. That said, the dots you think are going to connect to the case don't necessarily connect the way you think. I enjoyed this book. It's definitely not for everyone though.

The Kane Chronicles is probably the best series by Riordan! Not only do you learn about Egyptian mythology but it's an entertaining read as you shift back and forth between the Kane siblings.

This book was fascinating and full of Egyptian Mythology. The story takes a little bit to get in to but captures you a few chapters in. Full of adventure and high stakes situations. Inez is naturally curious and Whit, while charming, seems a bit questionable. The end will leave you stunned and ready to throw your book across the room.

This was a cute cozy mystery. Having never read any of her books before I didn't know what to expect but now I want to read the rest of the books about Mistletoe. This book puts you in a Christmas mood and makes you wish you lived in this small little Victorian town.

This is not a book I would have chosen typically. Sometimes book clubs take us out of our comfort zone and it's a good thing. This was an eye opening book for me given that being a Canadian we didn't dive into the US racial history and tension that much if at all. It ended in a positive light which was good.

This is definitely a 5⭐️ read. The twists and turns throughout were crazy!  Just when you thought it was going one direction it did an about face and went a completely different direction. Highly recommend

I'd never read Daisy Woods before and I enjoyed her writing style. I found the book informative and intriguing. I loved learning about Windsor Castle and even a bit more about the history of Austria. I felt the end was a bit rushed which is why this wasn't a 5 star for me. I wish that the period after Sophie was arrested was flushed out more from her point of view.

While this book is cute and good it's definitely a genre that I've started to walk away from. I want a bit more plot substance to my books and less harlequin romance style. Maddie does a good job with building the plot around Aurora and her reason to be back in Smokey Heights but wish there was even more plot there. I personally would have loved to hear more about the lawsuit and the things they discovered. But that's just me. Also even though I knew the trigger warnings it was hard dealing with the topic of the death of a parent. It did set me off a bit as it reminded me of the loss of my own. Overall it's a good book but it left me wanting a whole lot more!

(This novel was received as an ARC in exchange for a review) This book is cute and sappy. It's an enemies to lovers type book except they weren't really enemies. I love the Canadian aspect of the book and the fact that you felt you were crossing the country with them. There were moments that I wanted to smack some sense into Stella for being so blind but she eventually figured it out. My biggest complaints with this book is that it doesn't have the required Timmies stops to be a true Canadian road trip and I'm gonna have nightmares about those porcelain Jesus figures.

It was nice to be in one timeframe for once. It was a great read as always but still ended up taking long breaks from it as it didn't always capture my attention

What a fascinating book. It made you appreciate the women who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. I never learned about their contributions to NASA and the war efforts until I read this book.

Just couldn't get into it

While this book started a little slower it ended up developing a lot of the stories were introduced to in the first book.

But just like the first book my kindle almost ended up flying at the end because you don't see it coming at all!

Holy Crap!

First off - THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR TEENS. IT HAS VERY EXPLICIT DESCRIPTIONS OF SEXUAL ACTS. I honestly thought my nieces might enjoy it and then it was like ya nope.

I am not a fantasy person normally but I was told that this was an adult version of Harry Potter, hunger games, and a few other books. This book is way better!

I devoured it every chance I got. There's one character that I loved to hate - Dain and he deserved a time out or two. There's a few times where I literally laughed out loud from the sarcasm or situations in the book. But I was NOT prepared for that ending at all. My mouth dropped open the second it happened and stayed that way for a few minutes trying to absorb what I just read

Time to start Iron Flame

What the heck did I just read?!?? Just when you think you've got it all figured out it changes on you. This was an intense book at times but always kept you on your toes.

I love Rachel Maddow and her need to fully investigate something before presenting on it. This book is well researched and put together. The only thing holding me back from a 5 is that in order to fully grasp everything she's said, I'll need to read the book as well
