Flynt and Ayla are a force of nature!
I really enjoyed this story about a good girl and the big scary guy who has been obsessed with her since Freshman year but wouldn't speak to her. Ayla quickly becomes just as obsessed with him and I love that for them. It was very easy to connect with Flynt and Ayla. I worried about Flynt sometimes.
I had so much fun with this!
What a great start to the series! I really enjoyed getting to know Sienna and puzzling through who she is and what she can do. It didn't hurt that she was accompanied by a sexy legion of demons. I wanted more smexy times but it's just the first book and Sia is just coming around to the idea that demons don't follow the same rules. I so enjoyed the interplay between Nick, Sam, Luke, and Bel. You can feel the history and camaraderie between them. Death is actually a sweetheart. That is a sentence I never thought I would write. Haha! Also there is some great worldbuilding here! Some really lovely fantasy touches that I couldn't get enough of. Loved this one and I look forward to spending more time with these characters!
Loved Gideon and Rose!!!
I've had this in my TBR for a year LOL and I only wish that I had picked it up sooner. Gideon is a kracken that knows what he wants and that's Rose ❤️❤️❤️
I just didn't expect to LOVE the tentacles, haha!
I also loved the bathhouse and how sex-positive this story was as a whole. Loved, Loved, Loved this!!!
ugh! I freaking loved this!
I guess I needed a nice hit of steamy sci-fi omegaverse romance and this really hit the spot! I devoured this book. I loved the idea of a support alpha to help an omega through their heat. Rhen was a sweetheart and I would totally have decided to keep him too! Loved everything about this!
Didn't expect to love this!
Listen. Carter isn't for everyone. Read the content warnings. I am still conflicted about the beginning of this relationship but I frankly couldn't put this book down. This isn't my first romance with this kind of Dominant/submissive power dynamic but I don't read a lot of darker romance. I ended up loving Zoey and Carter's relationship but Carter is over the top, manipulative, jealous...I could go on. LOL. But he does actually care deeply about Zoey. That's why I enjoyed this so much! ❤️
I liked it but my feelings are complicated
So I've gotten very into polyamorous/ “why choose” books recently. One of my reading groups recommended this series and I'm still deciding how I feel about this first book.
The bad:
This book is flawed. It definitely needs to be properly edited. It can feel disjointed and confusing with the way the scenes flow right into each other sometimes. There are also some plot points at the end that were pretty extreme for the character. That part lost me a bit. I can maybe justify the motivations by where the character's headspace was but it feels like a reach. It made me feel a little emotionally manipulated, so that's part of why I'm conflicted.
The good:
I really connected with the characters! Yes, I got frustrated with the need for an editor but that's mostly because of how good this book would be if it had been edited. I liked the way Peyton's background was handled. It wasn't over the top. It was just the reality of what she had to deal with at home.
The connections with each of the guys felt realistic to me. Each of them appeals to a different side of Peyton. I feel like they have distinct personalities and motivations, so the character development was really the strongest part of the book and we're still learning about them. There's also a bit of a mystery unfolding in the town and I'm intrigued by that.
On top of all this, it was really hard to put this book down! I read it in couple days because I still had to work or I would have finished it sooner. I'm going to continue with the series despite my mixed feelings. There's a lot to connect with here and I want to see where it goes!
This was such a fun ride!
I really enjoyed this series and getting to know Katrina and her Demons. I love the strange family they become. There were some dark twists I didn't expect and a couple things I saw coming but still enjoyed watching play out.
I'm excited to spend more time in this world. I'd like to know more about the angels we met and find out if they find their Center. Really excited to learn more about Lucy. Overall, this was a really fun read!
Loved everything about this!
Lyric & the Heartbeats ticked a bunch of items on my romance wishlist. Rockstar romance? Check! RH/Why Choose Romance? Check! Wounded characters finding their place in the world? Big check! I'm loving the omegaverse, and all that comes with it. I like how both authors have been so inclusive with their MM relationships. I just loved the evolution of all the relationships in this story. In the end, I just wanted more time with all of them!
It's good. It's dark.
I don't know how to review this without giving things away. Things get really complicated for Hades in this book. I love how strong she is! Lucas remains my #1 but I love Zed and Cass. If you read Tate James, you should be familiar with her “WTF, Tate?!?” endings. I'm not freaking out. I trust the process. But ouch.
On to the next one!
I really wanted to like this! I just can't connect with Zahra and it's only getting worse. I find her quips to be childish and unfunny and they take me out of the story. It's upsetting because I was enjoying where the story is going overall. I'm into the astrology even though it gets way too technical. The gods are interesting but I don't have a firm grasp on who each of them are. I could have happily spent all my time with Kane, Saturn, and the twins. DNF @ 58%. 3 stars because I really liked where the story was heading. If you can connect with Zahra you'll probably enjoy the series.
A thrilling conclusion!
Holy Cow! This one was full of surprises! I don't want to give anything away but I was genuinely surprised that I didn't see most of the twists coming. MK's guys are true dangerous book boyfriend material. I don't even have a favorite anymore. I love them all!
Now, I have to go read Hades because wtf?!
So I loved this!
I have questions but I loved this so much. Baby and her pack were exactly what I was looking for. Maybe I missed a previous book or something but I was expecting shifters and I can't quite tell what Baby and her pack are beyond their Omega, Alpha, Beta designations. Maybe it's by design.
I don't read a lot of MC romances. Bikers aren't really been my thing, but I still had fun with this.
I love all of Baby's mates but Bullet, Books, and Green were my favorites!
Did you say mermaids? I'm in!
In all my years of voracious reading, I don't think I've read a book where the heroine becomes a mermaid. Loads of witches, wolves, vamps and even a dragon or two but never a mermaid. I'm loving it and I feel like I've been missing out!
The story is also really engaging! There are some good mysteries to unravel and the danger Chloe is in feels major. I love the budding romance between Noah and Chloe. I want more! Zeke is also interesting. I can't quite tell where things are going here but I'm intrigued!
I love Rowan's wolves!
I so enjoyed this book! I'm on pins and needles waiting for the next one in March! It picks up right where the last book left off, so I did have to do a re-read of the first book to get myself back in the story. I fell for Lucas all over again! I loved how Rowan's relationship with her bonds progresses in this book. Rowan continues to grow into her powers, which are pretty awesome btw, and there are some interesting consequences. New and old villains abound, but this story has a lot of heart.
