What a ride for our main characters! This a super โworthyโ sequel to the first book, as it adds a lot of background information about the characters, but still leaves some matters open to be answered, hopefully, in the next and final book.
I must admit that sometimes I got lost among all the direction changes and tricks taken by the characters, and I had to go back and see again what was happening, but overall I am very satisfied by the story, its unpredictability and its development.
I am very curious about how all the arc stories are going to end.

The book contains several nice points and clear explanations. However, it stays underdeveloped. By that, I mean that I found it very superficial, together with large fonts and interlines and missing reference list. It also contains several typos and grammatical errors, symptom of a lacking editing probably. For the price I bought it I defeinitely expected more content and depth. If interested into the topic, I would not recommend this book and I would recommend instead a more elaborated one.
The worst nonsense drama ever!
When I first heard of the release of a book dedicated to Xcor and Layla, I was already in a โmeh' mood. I don't stand Layla's whining and don't even like the couple and the chemistry.
I have also wondered if I should stop reading the series, but I decided to read it just to know what would have happened after I had heard of the release of The Thief. I am very curious to read about Sola and Assail, even if they look like respectively Xhex 2.0 and Rehv 2.0, so I didn't want to miss any relevant plot event.
But here we are: there is no important event. There is just nonsense drama and crappy stuff happening!
I am sorry not to like this series anymore. It used to be one of my favourite series and I loved the characters and everything, but it got less and less appealing over time with non sense drama between characters just to keep alive something that doesn't even sound realistic at all.
I hope that the next book will be better for me, otherwise I will seriously consider to stop there.

It has been so hard to finish this one.
I found it boring to death, but for a few moments.
I liked the worldbuilding and some Meg-moments, when she takes care of a puppy for example. But that is due to the fact that I love dogs :D Also her process of integration into the terra indigene society was very appealing and well done.
What I didn't enjoy was the lack of a solid plot, that made the book a bit too long and boring. It was more focused on characterization, putting the basis for the sequels hopefully. In the end it was slacking off too much for my tastes.
