I agree with some of the other reviews I've read here. I appreciated the explanation of the threat of cheap and deep fakes, but it felt like the book was a little rushed. I noticed a handful of mistakes that could've used better editing as well.

I've been a Jellyfish fan since Bellybutton was released. I thought I knew a fair amount about their story, until I read this. If you're a fan, do yourself a favor and shell out the $ to find a copy of this. You won't regret it.

Pema does it again. She mentions Thirty-Seven Practices of a Bodhisattva a lot here, which has led me to Ken McLeod's book on that text, also excellent.

I was not familiar with Jarvis Jay Masters before reading this. What an incredible human being. This book is equally heartbreaking and inspiring.

Required reading for any obsessive 10cc fan. This book is meticulously researched, and contains not only an incredible wealth of knowledge about the band, but the band members' other work as well.

My only complaint about this book is that it isn't twice as long, especially the chapters breaking down each album track by track. You really get to understand the band's personalities and dynamic through their voices and stories in the book.

As a beginner, I really appreciate the hierarchy of positions that Chris includes in the book. Beyond that, this was an inspirational read. One that got me thinking a lot about how jiu-jitsu relates to my life off the mat.

The greatest. EPIC.

I thoroughly enjoyed learning about Brian and Metal Blade. It has made me want to do a deep dive on lots of bands and records I slept on back in the day.

Informative, maddening and heartbreaking.

I want to give this a better rating, as I've been a huge King's X fan since Gretchen was released, but the writing is not great. It was neat to learn about Doug's upbringing and the history of King's X though. For hardcore fans only (if you're reading this, that's probably you).

One of the best, if not the best, books I've read on relationships.
