See allAs always some fun from Terry Pratchett hand. Those who've read him know what to expect, and this who haven't should read something by the author. Not necessarily this one, as I'm not sure if I would see it as one of the best. However it definitely is one of his better works! Recommend, but not overly so.
Wonderful, exciting magical realism. I was in for a ride, and thoroughly enjoyed it.
It isn't for everyone, but as I enjoyed Anansi's boys, and American Gods by Neil Gaiman, and most books by Svend Åge Madsen this book was right up my ally.
But of a slow start, but once it got going I had a hard time putting it down!
Interesting, and well written. However it seemed to me to drag on a bit at spots. I take it that was because of the time of writing, were I'm accustomed to a somewhat more hurried writing style.
It wasn't a bad book, it was a good who-dun-it, however, the langauge meant i longer reading time than I would have prefered for a who-dun-it.
