Soo much yearning, this series is unlike any other when it comes to a slow burn, and it's delicious to read! I just know the payoff will be so much more gratifying than all these insta love stories.

100% would've been a 5 star if it weren't for that abrupt ending. I understand the need for a cliffhanger, but I just needed a little more.

Side note: loved the introduction of Akbar, bought some much needed comedic relief, and also watching Alizeh realise what she feels for Cyrus... was just soo great to read! I love this series, can't wait for the next book.

It took me too long to get into this book. Do I think the beginning of this book was necessary? yes, but at the same time, it took way too long to get the story started. Once it did though, it was a beautiful story, heartbreaking but a classic. I enjoyed the book most of the way through, but it was the ending that absolutely sealed it for me.

I stand by my initial review with this series, it was just boring. I found myself tuning out for most of this book, and even when there were scenes with action/plot going on, I didn't really care. It's not the worst thing I've read, just wasn't really for me.
