This could have been a decent story but I just found the writing to be too clunky.

Tremendous book. The characters are so well drawn and the world building is incredibly immersive. The tension simmers with the ever-present threat of violence.

It’s very effective at personalizing a disgusting time period that I was aware of but had never really been exposed. Highly recommended

Surprisingly beautiful and heartwarming story of a 12 year old boy who spends a week living with his dead mother so he can compete in a spelling bee at school!

If that doesn’t intrigue you, nothing will.

Well-written toxic family drama featuring cannibalism! Maybe a touch longer than it needed to me but it kept me interested and gave me sympathy for the main character.

I’ll be checking out other books from Lucy Rose.

Two very different but engrossing stories. I found this through Paperbacks From Hell and it’s certainly a hidden gem. I would have read it all in one sitting if I hadn’t needed some sleep!

Whew! You can't say it's an enjoyable read but it's meticulously researched and incredibly compelling. And utterly terrifying.

This is an absolute page turner right from the first page!

This was a good short read!

This was pretty much unputdownable. Very compelling story with two highly memorable main characters. Good stuff!

Definitely a lot of fun. It's been a. While since I've read a proper beach holiday thriller and this one works well. Short chapters, easy read, and keeps you guessing. Enjoyable!

Wow! That was a quite a read. A mind-blowing exploration of infinity.

Grady's typical blend of interesting characters, humour and effective set pieces. There were a couple of very unnerving sequences in this one but also some genuinely moving ones. Very good!
