Whew! You can't say it's an enjoyable read but it's meticulously researched and incredibly compelling. And utterly terrifying.

This is marketed as extreme horror. Compared to some I've read it wasn't as explicitly gory although it does have a bunch of trigger warnings at the start so proceed with caution. What I'll say is it's well-written and has a main character you want to root for. The premise is pretty off-the-wall and very similar in theme to The Menu. Once i started I couldn't stop and at 150 or so pages it doesn't outstay its welcome. I would definitely read more by this author.

Super quick read and quite a different storytelling method. More of a mystery than a horror story and more than a little ambiguity as to what is actually going on

Two very different but engrossing stories. I found this through Paperbacks From Hell and it’s certainly a hidden gem. I would have read it all in one sitting if I hadn’t needed some sleep!
