See all2/3 of the book followed insufferable FMC around, which was salvaged by bits of MMC povs. Then it actually started to get good and truly immersive by the last 1/3 untill our FMC striked again to remind me why I hated her guts from the start.
I didn't hate this book, but it was not what I hoped it would be. Not what it was sold as.
The execution was messy, the plot was so out of place at times that the thoughts of why I am doing this to myself began to take their place.
This book wouldn't be the one I recommend and I'm not sure if I want to come back to this series at this point.
This was massively over-hyped. Timeline of plot development too unrealistic (in terms of FMC and MMC relationship development), therefore it was not satisfactory and felt too forced.
The ending was not well thought through even considering that you might explain bad execution on character's lack of stability and raising awareness of loosing power, but that would be searching for any reason to explain bad execution of a plot.
