I don't even have words to describe how I feel. I am healed in so many ways after reading it. The first book left a hole in me which this book fixed. I felt like healing along with Savannah.
I cried almost every chapter. Tillie Cole's signature mark is breaking my soul and healing it in the most beautiful way possible.
I also loved how we got to see more about different cultures and their tradition in regards to death and acceptance.
If you're ever hurt, please read this book. It's medicine for the soul. I loved every word of it.
i was actually looking forward to it (the title, i am obsessed with purple). I am now disappointed. The story was lame and it didn't hit me in any way. It didn't feel like something that would make me say: “wow, amazing book” or “oh my god, i love it!” or even “it's a horrible book!”. It didn't give me any feelings/thoughts.
consider this my exit note from the “mafia romance” trope.

it started SO good and I actually enjoyed it, but then at some point it suddenly started going downwards. too fast. I was happy with the first volume. but THIS? big no. I most likely will not read the 3rd volume. She was portrayed as beknt too dumb in certain scenes which annoyed me. Meanwhile he was this genius that is always correcting her. + their whole relationship (if you can call it like that) felt unreal, unsatisfying and forced. I actually am so sad I didn't end up enjoying it because the start of it was amazing. I did want to enjoy it, but Christian was not it, Gianna was not it and the plot itself and certain scenes/ideas were too much and too gross for me.
Speechless. I couldn't put it down. Charlie's story is one that everyone shall read, regardless of the age. She is a strong soul with a shield full of scars. She found her voice, her inner strength, regardless of the fact that everything in her life couldn't go worse.
I cried, I smiled, I even related to Charlie in some ways, especially when she was describing how lonely she felt. I am so glad I picked this book up and I will never stop recommending it. Charlie's voice has to be spread everywhere. Girl in Pieces is truly a heart warming and empowering book which proves that no matter how hard life gets, even if you're in the darkest spot, you can always return to light because there is a strength in everyone bigger than anything else. You just have to be brave enough to find it!
P.S. If you read this book, don't skip the author's note.
I was so close to give this book 2 stars because the not native english speaker in me had no idea what “dark horse” means and took it too literally (lillie, the authors should praise you).
Now, after knowing what this phrase means, my rating has grown. I really feel that it was better that 1 had no idea what it means until i finished the book because it made my experience with it have sense in the end. Very, very smart move! I will definitely continue the series.
Moving on, I did feel like there were some plot gaps which is why this is not a 5-star read. Everything happened too fast and they jumped from one event to another with nothing to tie the events together. The magic system and the amount of DIFFERENT superatural species was chef's kiss. It is obvious two people worked on this book because every detail about the magic and the supernatural life (5 different species from what I've counted) is absolutely on point.
Also, I do advise people like me who have no idea what the phrase “dark horse” means, to google it AFTER you've read the book. It will tie in the sense of the book much better.
The book was very emotional and heart warming, but I feel likr something is missing. It seemed too short and I wanted something more from it. It may be just my opinion, but I needed more scenes, more action. It ended too abruptly and I wasn't really a fan of this thing. But overall, the idea of the story was really emotional and I enjoyed it.
This book made me ugly cry at 3am. I didn't start it expecting it to be a 5-star, but the second half made it worthy of the 5 stars. It proves that being shown and feeling love and affection towards others has a huge impact over someone. Lack of it turns you into a villain who is just a victim.
Although I am not a fan of horror, I enjoyed this book and I didn't find it “scary”. I love myths and stories inspired by them and real life stuff. And now, after finishing it, I do understand why did it pass the time test.
I truly am happy for Christine, but my heart breaks for the poor phantom. His story proves that no one is truly bad and behind every “evil” action hides a broken soul in need of love.
Would have been a 5 star read if it wasn't for dovey. So far, this is my favorite volume in the series. The plot twist had me chocking every single time. I have a lot of thoughts and I have no idea how in the world will things end given the current circumstances. This book really proved that there is no such thing as just bad people or good people. Bad people and villains in general have their reasons and they're valid reasons that sort of justifies their behaviour (refering to rhian). Good people can be selfish and if this book doesn't prove it, then nothing can. I like how each book in the series so far ended in a cliffhanger and 1 also loved that this one was...a sweeter cliffhanger. Although 1 don't like what the author did to certain characters, this one was probably the most fast paced and addictive in the whole series. Someone told me the last 2 books in the series are the most twisty and after finishing this, all I can do is agree.
To be honest, I didn't go into this book with that many expectations. But as I started it and as I got to read more, it grew on me. The plot was engaging and written in a way that made you feel like you're actually there. The names of the chapters played a huge part in it. I think I liked those the most. What I didn't really like was that some chapters felt like fillers and not important to the story itself. Felt rather like they're there to grow the page count. But overall, this was a cute, engaging and relaxing book to read!
This book will be my response to “what's your favourite book”. Everything was so perfect and so in place. I adored Elliot and Ama as well as Hazel and Jackie. I haven't read any second chance romance so far and after reading this, it became one of my favourite tropes.
One thing I didn't really like is that we didn't get to see Elliot's POV in the present. I wish i knew his thoughts over Ama now, not only over her in the past.
This book has been waiting for me for a LONG time. Josh was my favourite twisted man before I even got to read his book. I cried, I laughed, lalmost threw the book off the window (literally, i almost dropped it) and I fully enjoyed every second of it! I am so sad I left josh and jules behind and i honestly think this may be the best book in the series. The dynamic between them is absolutely hilarious and i enjoyed their “fights” so much. Although, I still dont understand why do people hate josh so much because he said some things he regretted and he said them in anger. If you find yourself a josh hater, go read chapter 46 and analyse the passages where josh was describing how he felt. Honestly, just go do it. Overall, this was a honest 5-star and I will forever be in love with both josh & jules!

“Duty means doing the things your heart may well regret.”
- Barbie, the Princess and the Pauper

This song ran trough my head the entire time while reading the book, especially this line which perfectly illustrates Bridget's life as a royal and as an heir to the throne. Twsited Games is a modern fairytale which I absolutely ADORED. In fact, it has two modern fairytales (Nikolai and Sabrina included). While Bridget and Rhys made me think of the Princess and the Pauper movie, Nikolai and Sabrina reminded me of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle which again, I adored.
The plot was so, so twisty and suspenseful and at some point, shocking and depressing (dear God, they were almost cousins). I was terrified that this will not end up good for Rhys and Bridget but the last few chapters genuinely made me smile and warmed my heart. I still don't know how to feel about Rhys' dad and brother but...c'est la vie, as Andreas would say. One more thing I really admired was the...let's call it “introduction” in the next volume within the last chapter (when Ava was looking for Jules and Josh). It was a subtle hint to what is going to happen next, and I really appreciated it.
I cannot tell you how sad I am that this book is over, yet how HAPPY I am to finally get to go to the next volume, which I have been waiting for months. Twisted Games was so fast-paced that I didn't even realise I finished it or that I read almost half of it in the first day. I lowkey forgot I was reading. As sad as it feels to see Mr. Larsen and his Princess leaving the spotlight, I am ready to see J & J shining.
3.75 ⭐
I was very excited to start this book, especially because I got to buddy read it with one of my favourite people. I enjoyed the fast-pacing, the quotes, the plot (up to some point) and the characters were lovely (no, Mrs. Bennet, I am not talking about you). I genuinely wanted this to be a 5-star read because it's a never-dying novel which clearly proves A LOT about it, considering the year it was published. Although I did adored both Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth, this is exactly the reason why I could not rate this wonderful book more. It may as well be just me, but I feel like them being “an official couple” was pushed way too far towards the end of the book. Which, I did not like that much. I truly wanted more of them together and I was a little disappointed that I did not get what I was hoping and wishing for.
A thing I admired a lot is that we got to know everything that was going on in their minds without first person. I do love a third person book which is rarely found in contemporary literature. I adored that I could get a full view on all characters from the author's perspective and not from a character's POV.
Overall, besides my small inconvenience, I do see why did this book pass the time-test and I am sure I will re-read it one day (especially because I will study english literature in college) and I look forward to seeing if my opinion will remain the same. Pride and Prejudice is truly a book that caught my attention and I am glad this is one of the first ever international classics I have read.
I am so, so sad that this series has ended. I wanted more, but at the same time I didn't. Saying goodbye to Lisar, Lysandra and the others really feels like a piece of my heart is missing. I was recommended this series by someone I really care about mainly because the first 2 volumes are set in my country.
Strictly talking about Heir to Russia, you can't imagine how happy I am that they got their happily ever after (more or less Tom & Bryn with their a lot of kids). At some point, I thought that it will end just as bad as the third volume, but I am glad I was wrong.
If there's something I didn't really liked overall is that so many people died. I didn't feel the need for this many to disappear. The Shifter Prophecy climbed up in my top 3 favourite series from the first volume and I do not regret it. Shotout to Lillie for recommending me the series. If there is a best book recommender award, it's yours🫶🏼
As much as I enjoyed the previous 2 volumes of this series, this one isn't my cup of tea. The plot was depressing and certain characters did questionable things. I wanted to see more of Lysandra and Lisar. Also, 99% of the book went bad, nothing good happened along the way. I do understand that the plot twists and the tension were there to keep readers interested in the book but this was way too much. Yes, it was emotional and yes, I did enjoy it as part of the series overall, but so far this is my least favorite book in the series (having high hopes for [b:Heir to Russia 209950733 Heir to Russia (The Shifter Prophecy, #4) Megan Linski https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1710439397l/209950733.SY75.jpg 56642424]). If this series ends badly, then I will end up regretting I had called this series “one of my favorites”.
If I were to describe this book in a word, that would be “bipolar”. Not in a bad way, but in the best way possible. One moment it was cute and romantic, the very next one was dramatic and tense, taking me into an emotional roller-coaster. Seeing the POV from the den was something that completed a whole left by the first volume. Lysandra trying to fit in the pack was something I enjoyed and admired because it was clear she was doing efforts to show them all she means no harm. This universe is becoming more and more interesting and addicting as pages go by. I still have half of series left and I am starting to feel so depress that it will finally come to an end. I feel like i need to make everyone in the world to read the series because it truly is underrated which is...awful.
Back to the book, a thing I certainly did not like is how whenever Lysandra and Lisar were about to have a moment of happiness, something came in between and ruin the moment. This is probably why I am not rating the book 5 stars, otherwise I would have. Another thing I still don't know how to feel about is the unexpected ship of Bryn and Tomlein. I honestly did not feel the need for an inter-racial romance other than Lysandra and Lisar. But this may as well just be my opinion only.
Overall, ‘Den of Wolves' had me as in love as ‘Court of Vampires' did and I look forward to starting the next volume, yet I will be very sad to because that means being one step closer to say goodbye to the universe and the characters.
I started this book because it was recommended to me by someone. I did not expect to like it as much as I did, but it was one of those books that you wish it never ends. The story, the characters, the setting, everything was amazing. Moreover, a thing I absolutely adore is the fact that it is set in my country and I rarely see books set here written by foreign authors. Lysandra is a truly amazing main character and her character is simply charming. I am looking forward to reading the next book because it I do not start it right away, it's gonna keep me awake all night. I 100% recommend reading this book. It's one of the most underrated books I've ever read.
This book made me forget I was reading. It almost felt like I am there, living every moment. I didn't realize that I already finished it (so glad it has more volumes).
The plot, the characters, the writing style. Everything was perfect.
The way that the author described all of their minds (especially Cassie and Dean) and how the characters are built is something I have never read so far. I am really looking forward to continuing this series (even though the open ending kills me).
P.S. I don't recommend reading this book if you hate open endings because “The Naturals” will do anything but tell you what it happened and how it happened and who did what.
I feel like this book did A LOT of justice to ‘‘Finding Cinderella''. It felt so heart-warming to see Six and Daniel getting to know their baby and it felt even more overwhelming in the best way to find out who the baby ended up with.
Another fact that I adored is how Colleen integrated characters from her other books while they can all still be read as stand-alones. This story was one of the most emotional books I have read (from Colleen) and i can say it is quite underrated.
P.S.: for this novella to make sense, check the order of the hopeless series + “All your perfects”. The book won't make any sense otherwise.
“I would die for you. But I won't live for you.”I started my review with this quote because it's one of the quotes that hit the hardest. We would die for certain people, but we can't live in their spot. We need to let the ones we love make their own choices even if to us it may not seem the right thing to do. Now, talking about the book itself, it's an honest 5-star read. The fact that I read it as a person who has just graduated high school while Charlie was just in his first year of high school made it even more of a special read. I truly love every bit of this book from Charlie's thoughts about the others to his relationship with his teacher, sister and friends and especially the way he sees Sam and how he describes her and her way of being and talking. It's one of those books that you REALLY need to read at least once in a lifetime, regardless of your age. What made the book even more enjoyable was the unique way that it is written in. Every chapter looks like letters sent from Charlie to his “friend”, addressed directly to the reader. At some point, I forgot I was reading a book and I lived under the impression that I am actually reading letters from a dear friend. I fully related to Charlie from a lot of perspectives and I think this is why I got so attached to this book. So far, it's the most emotional book I have got to read this year and I am so glad this treasure found me!
3.5 ⭐️
This was a very short, cute and wholesome read, which is what I needed right now because of my busy life.
Regardless of this, I still wish it would have been a little longer so I can enjoy it more. I really liked the writing style, it was easy-to-read (in my case, listen) and it certainly was very emotional. It made me raise my hope in soulmates and humanity.
What I did not enjoy though was the “lack” of action. I still wanted something a little bit more “dynamic”, if this is the right word.
Overall, I really recommend this book, especially if you find yourself in a busy period of time or a reading slump.
