This book would have been sooo much better if there had been different narrators. I needed to preface that because it's only fair to give this fair warning.

 I LOVE a dark romance that has a good stalker aspect going with the rest of the story, but this wasn't it. But where I struggled the most is with the narrators. They didn't do a bad job but they really didn't do this story any favors. 

If we would have had a male voice actor with a deeper timbre it would have made this story go soo much further for me! It would also have given us the darker aspect because of the deeper voice. When I think about dark romance I don't think about the guy from tech support. There are plenty of people who get down with that, YOU DO YOU BOO BOO! But this is not it for me!

Everytime I took a break from the audiobook I would come back and I would cringe hearing their voices. That isn't the reaction I ever want to have when I start an audiobook. Her voice was grating on  my ear holes. She couldn't have tried to pull off sexy if she had went on the The Swan show from years ago. They would have had to remove her voice and give her a whole new one. After listening to over 50%, I finally said no more. I hate not having finished the way I started but there is no way I could have kept listening.

I really did try to enjoy the story though. Our FMC was essentially a loner besides her neighbor and the people she worked with in her influencer job. Who wouldn't struggle after losing their parents? But she was someone who had an alter ego and that girl was he exact opposite of who she is in her daily life. I really could have done without how much she referenced her dark side.

 I was waiting for something to hit just right for me to be hooked and keep reading this, but it just never happened. After 60% went by I finally said I'm done. I couldn't keep going. These characters were so bland and had nothing going for them. I couldn't help but feel like this book was lacking.

There is usually somehing quirky or different about a character to set them apart, but I guess what was supposed to set her apart was just awkward. She spoke like 2 sentences played with her toy for 3 seconds and done.

Jack was for real real a stalker. And not just for a short term but 2 years long. He was so boring. I was hoping that something would have set him apart, but NOPE. He's awkward and boring. Usually firefighters are my jam but not this one.

I finally put it down after waiting for this to work, but it just wasn't. It made me feel as if she was trying to pull a Christmas Light Off and forgot all the parts that matter. Where was the witty banter? Nowhere. I just refuse to go back to this again. It honestly doesn't make me want to pick up anything else she has written.

I will continue to say that I will always love when Jason is on an audiobook! Not only is he such a multi-faceted voice actor but he always gives it so much heart! You can tell when someone loves what they do, and he shows me time and time again that he is a master at his craft. I truly enjoyed hearing him and Kat bring Mildred and Connor to my ears and furthermore my heart ❤️.  

✨️📖 On To The Book Review 📖✨️

There was so much emotion when it came to this story and I couldn't help but have alll the feels for Mildred and Connor! Both characters were wounded hearts who were really just trying to get by in life, but needed the other so that they could live and not just exist. Connor was our handsome Grumpy Pants and Mildred was our precious book loving Librarian who had a heart for Connor's Meems. 

Oh the way my heart tripled in size like the Grinch (even though mine is already too big) when Meems was brought into the story. I am a huge lover of grandma's, and having Meems was only making my love for Mildred and Connor's story that much stronger. I loved how much she loved Mildred and how they built their relationship through their love of books and their town. Meems is the one person you wait for all week to come in because its the best visit you will have! I love having those moments with such precious people in your life!

Holy Crap, this is going to be a long one. I have so many feelings about this book and these characters. I LOVED Mildred, and couldn't get enough of her precious self! I love her determination to be the good in this world, that so many need. And what she needed growing up in the foster system. She is definitely a glass half full kind of girlie pop! I loved that about her, she was the perfect person for Connor's Mr. Grumpy Pants! She hadn't had the easiest life but she made the best of every situation that she could. 

Its so rare that people can do that but she sure took things in stride, especially when Connor's dad confronted her at the library. She couldn't have handled that situation better than she did. She took it in stride and was more than willing to make the wrong right with every chance she had. She truly had such a big heart and I can't help but love her!

Connor, Connor, Connor. Alright, Mr. Grumpy Pants was the perfect growly man of my dreams. You know he had the perfect growl when he wanted to, and I was not even close to mad about it. My thighs had clenched so much, my legs were sore 😆! Connor was such a misunderstood man, who needed someone like Mildred to show him that he is seen. He not only was seen by Mildred but also Meems. He spent so much of his time with Meems and that was because she was the one person who loved him unconditionally and refused to not show him her love. 

Connor was truly able to see what it was like to be loved by Mildred and Bless Him he just didn't know how to show her his love. He was struggled so hard with guilt and feeling like he was the doom and gloom for everyone around him. But that wasn't the case at all. He was an amazing edition to everything he was involved in, sandiwches excluded 😉. Once Connor was able to see that he wasn't the problem he was able to set those feelings aside and show Mildred exactly how he felt.

Just when I think that I couldn't love Helena's books more than I do I am here loving her writing and characters even more! I am so excited to see what else Helena Hunting has in store for us next!

Ava is a master at cowboy romance, and she mastered the story of Bellamy and Hank! I loved getting to know them and seeing their history! I loved the moments when it couldn't be helped and they were thrust together, and they made it work! Seeing the sad memories that they had, made me sad for them. When they were willing to try again really gave me even more hope that they could really make it work for them!

I loved the side characters aka the animals 🤣. We had Zelda their dog along with Bonnie and Clyde the two clydesdale horses that pulled the sleigh around their tree farm. I loved having the moments with the animals and seeing what an integral part they play in their love story!

I loved this short novella and I can;t help but want more about their friends and their stories!

I need to start this review by saying that I would have given this 5+ stars but the FMC's voice really grated on me. The high pitch of her voice really threw me off. It definitely kept me from truly enjoying all of the shenanigans that was had!

✨️📖 On To The Book Review 📖✨️

I really did love this story. It gave us a role reversal of the normal serial un-aliver. There isn't enough about the female counterpart and lets be honest there are plenty of female un-alivers. Any-hoo I just want to wax poetic about how much I loved getting the female version! 

I love that we were able to see everything she did while she was un-aliving. I will give her credit for who she takes down, the people that choose children over grown adults for their proclivities. A few less of those does way more good than otherwise. I laughed when she taunted them about their choices. Always relying on the old trusty answer they ALWAYS give. I didn't know they were who they were. MMMHHHMMMM SURRRREEE.

Dove was a woman of integrity even if her hobby wasn't the usual. She had a regular job, a regular life even with a couple of extra hobbies that no one would ever know unless she told them. Jerky making had to be the one that I laughed at the hardest. Those people got the justice they got way easier than many would have let them off with. 

I couldn't help but chuckle when Rinley came into the office and demanded her attention. Not just with his prescence but also his need to write about The Babydoll Killer. I was astonished that he was able to hold the reverence that he did for her. He saw what she had to offer and wanted to make sure that people knew that she was doing the world a favor. 

I loved that Rinley had his story to go along with everything and I can't say that it didn't break my heart. I had to take some time to work my way through his story, in a healthy way. It was something I never saw coming and it took some time to work through it. It was the exact opposite of what a person should be in a child's life.

When Dove was truly able to see Rinley for who he was, she couldn't stay away from him. He gave her the zing when he was in her vicinity, much less when they touched. It was a match made in heaven for both of them, even if it wasn't what she originally thought it would be. 

I couldn't get over Dove calling Rinley “Songbird” which was his mom's nickname for him. It was a jolt to the system, but not near as much as when he said she looked just like his mom. YOWZA!! That isn't always a compliment someone wants. But Dove was able to make that comment into a much better thing than I ever thought!

I can't not tell you how muh I love Dove's best friend Bunny! I love her and absolutely CANNOT wait for her book!

Let me go ahead and wax poetic about Emmett and Stella! I loved these two!! The tension when they first see each other after so long!! The chemistry when they are both trying everything they can to just exist, but can't help but feel the pull into each others orbits.

I love a second chance romance, especially when they each needed each other more than they realized. I love seeing how their hearts race, and about pound out of their chest because they can't deny how much they want each other!

The way I ATE this book up and was left wanting so much more of Emmett and Stella! I can't wait to see them in more of the proceeding books in the series!

After the first book in the series, I was SAT waiting for this baby like a good girl. Lemme tell you it didn't disappoint. Jennifer brought us another BANGER! I loved this book just as much as I did the first, and am now DYING for the third!

Jennifer really said SAY LESS when we told her how much we loved the first book. I melted always the way through this book! I felt so many emotions when it came to Callie and Nora when they were going THROUGH IT! Of course in comes River who was the perfect man for Callie. And lets be honest for Nora too! She had the worst of experiences when it came to her daddy, and deserved nothing short of everything River gave her! I loved seeing River with her and hearing her call him Rivi. BE STILL MY HEART ❤️ 

Nora was the most previous baby girl and I couldn't help but want nothing but the best for her. She had Callie who was already AMAZING, but having River was the cherry on top of the sundae! River couldn't have been more perfect for them, and I loved seeing him glow with love that he had for both of them! It truly made him that much better than he already was. Considering he was already amazing, he only leveled up!

Callie was the ultimate mom, she truly did everything she could to make sure that her baby girl had everything she needed. Unfortuantely, her ex was the literal WORST! He literally was the post child for The Crappy Dad Department! He was nothing short of being the worst thing that Callie had in her life. I hated that she had to deal with him in general, much less have to barter with him about him paying his part of support for Nora. It shouldn't have been a chore to be decent but boy did he make the point that he gave ZERO f@ck$ about anyone but himself. I wanted to pummel him sooo hard he would wake up in the next month!

Jennifer truly gave us so much with River, Callie and Nora. Dare I say can she top it again?

At this point I will read ANYTHING Andi and Sebastian voice! They always blow me away with not only their voices they lend but how they reel you in and grab you right in the feels! This book would have been emotional no matter what, but Andi and Sebastian just rocked me even harder. Hearing the despair and pain in their voices was almost unbearable. Tears were running down my face while my husband was watching football. He looks over at me and motions for me to take my headphones off, and asks if I'm okay. The dam of tears was let out. I just bawled, and he was so confused. I told him he just had to listen to it.

I am a dark romance, forbidden romance girly to my core. I'm a revel what can I say? But this dark forbidden romance is on a whole different level. We come in with a step-uncle romance, but add in h just got out of prison. He has his calloused outside because he has had to be that way for 15 years. So he had his guard up at every turn,  especially around his brother. Family trauma runs rampant in this book so be aware of the angst you will encounter. 

There is so much angst, and tension woven throughout this book! But its a necessary evil to see the full picture. SA plays a good sized part in this story, so if you can't handle it BACK AWAY! This story is so complex and it unfurled like an onion. I had so many layers that it looked like a beautiful disaster. 

Calista and Ronan were two very broken people, but they were able to make their broken work for each other. They work through some trauma together in order to make the bigger picture that much more beautiful.

I loved the tension, the chemistry, the banter and everything that enveloped these characters. The banter got me when they were asking questions back and forth and it came down to what is yuor favorite color? I couldn't help but chuckle. I loved the moments between when there was a bit of silence, not everything has to be said out loud. This book spoke volumes to me and I was beyond sad when it ended.

 It was a ball of chaos, but boy was it beautiful 😍.  I could admire this author forever because of how she put this book together. I am ready for the next beautiful nightmare she bestows upon us!1

I will never not be astounded by Naomi's brain and what she writes! This book felt like a huge fever dream but carries so much more than the heat rolling off of a grill in the summer. I kept asking myself WTAF am I reading? I couldn't help but feel like I was missing something.

This book gives me all the Hotel California & AHS Hotel vibes!! Which I LOVE both! I was hooked like a fat kid likes cake! Even though I kept thinking WHAT EVEN IS THIS? I sped through this book because I couldn't NOT know what was happening next! There was so much going on and at times I was confused and trying to make sense of the events going on. Luckily they all looped together for the most part.

I have been SAT like a good girl 💕 waiting for this book, and I not so hastily sat for this book after opening it! Y'all better get your pearls ready to be clutched on this baby!!!

I dove right into this book with snacks and drinks on deck, because I knew once I cozied up and started reading I wouldn't be good for anything. Surprise, Surprise that's exactly what happened! I couldn't help but dive deeper and deeper with Levi and Zeph. They are one of my favorite couples that I have read this year! I am even more excited to readx the next book. But I can't not gush about all the things I loved about this book first!

I mean where do I even begin? Cowboy x Nun was the biggest wow for me! I never expected this trope much less the tropes that came along with it! Dark western was my next favorite trope because who doesn't love a morally grey cowboy who is willing to do ANYTHING for our FMC? Levi definitely gave me everything I wanted, needed and didn't know he could! I mean who could resist the man and his slutty little glasses? Then he goes and gives us so much angst and tension! BE STILL MY LITTLE HEART 💕 

Zephrine is the FMC to beat! Not only was she far far away from home for good reasons, she also wasn't full nun like she wanted everyone to think. She had those dirty dirty thoughts about our little Levi and his slutty little glasses! I loved that she had so muuch dimension and was constantly at his mercy, but making him at hers.

These two were the couple yo9u only ever dream of reading about! They gave us so much, yet I wanted sooo much more!! The way that I could EAT UP 3 more books of them alone! I can't wait for the remaining book so that I can see the final smoke show that I know it will be!

This was the perfect Halloween read for anyone that loves Dark romance! Its short but it packs a mighty wollop with the spice! Masked Daddy who has planned everything down to the tiniest detail? SAY LESS KING!!

Just when you think life really couldn't be what you want it to be, our FMC's dreams become real life! Who wouldn't want to live out their wildest fantasies? And add on a masked daddy? SHOOOOO-WEEEEEE Let me have him!!!

When an author can write a stalker romance and have the perfect balance between the thriller aspect that was unsettling but also had sweet moments too! The tension that ran throughout this book was unreal! I couldn't help but feel every bit of it rolling off my kindle. There were a couple times where I needed to take a snack and drink break (wink wink.)

This book is dark, beautifully atmospheric and so much fun! I love when I have a good twist thrown into the book when I was least expecting it! I will never not respect authors who are able to fully pull this off!!

This book was a wild ride that could have easily went way past the 94 pages that it is! I was immediately enthralled and couldn't keep my eyes off of it until it was finished! This book really took the serial killer role to a whole new level. Yes, there are some books that have used some of the same tropes, but I don't think it hit the same as this book.

I loved that there was some retribution along with a bit of torture along the way! The psychological manipulation was something that was well planned, and executed many times before. Seeing how it's played out between characters was definitely a highlight. But nothing will ever overshadow the Roadside Motel setting. Out in the middle of nowhere will always trump other settings. And let's not forget the other little things sprinkled throughout the book, like little quirks that make it that much creepier, even if you wouldn't think so if you were the one in the story!

I really enjoyed this book and I'm super excited to see what other unhinged project Haley has for us!

i truly enjoyed Erin bringing Delaney to life and giving her the passion she had for life. Not just the passion for life but also that angst and yearning she had for Bennett! JF did an AMAZING job giving Bennett life and showing us who he was. I will always love listening to an audiobook because it really gives you more of a sneak peek into who the characters are. The inflections, and everything that goes into speaking can say sooo much about a person.

I loved Delaney and Bennett and their rocky road back to each other! They had many obstacles between high school and now but they did the best they could while raising their beautiful girls! 

Delaney and Bennet gave us all the tension, yearning and ALLLLLLLL the chemistry that shouldn't have been that good! I could never get over the quiet yearning for each other while they obviously tried not to show it! Just because they weren't in the same vicinity didn't mean they wouldn't still feel alllll those feelings!

We absolutely cannot forget about their girls Leia and Wren! They were obviously meant to be besties wayyy before they met. Learning they were besties after the big move was such kismet for everyone!

I will never be upset when a Bella Matthews ARC hits my kindle! This was such a Christmas delight when I started it! I couldn't help but be in my happy place when I knew we were back in Kroydon Hills but with cold weather and snow!!!

I couldn't get enough of Holly and Camden!! But of course we cannot forget about the Cutie Batootie Sophie and Madden!! I loved that they were all around family that was more than happy to help at every turn!

I loved seeing the evolution of their relationship from the very beginning all the way through to the happy ending Bella is known so well for! There wasn't apart of this book that I didn't love!

Once again Marni has brought us the billionaire lifestyle with a man who is very aware of himself and what he has. But as he started his morning run he met the woman he wouldn't be able to get enough of. 

Maya worked so hard all her life to make sure that she was able to take care of herself. Unfortunately she always had to default to taking care of her mom because she couldn't seem to keep a job and keep her hands to herself when it comes to her bosses. As she said “The wives always win,” 

Jordan was able to see that his playboy ways weren't what he always thought they would be. Maya showed him the other side of the 🌍 that didn't involve money always being the main event. 

I loved the way that they came together and were able to work past their issues without it causing a huge disturbance in their lives. I really enjoyed the banter, and how they really set themselves up for success in their relationship! 

This was another amazing book by Marni and I am soooo beyond excited for the next book in the series!!

Haylee accidentally meets Alexander the “Playboy”, and realizes that they both have things that each other could benefit from in having a fake relationship. Haylee needs to save her family's toy company that she shares with her sister, and Alexander needs to rebuild his reputation that has been tarnished. It was a win-win for both of them.

Alexander was cold and hard, like Scrooge. Haylee was warm, inviting and a caring person in general. With those traits she was able to take Alexander from Scrooge to a completely different person. Alexander learned from watching Halee and her family how to be kind and have empathy. Scrooge was slowly being unraveled by Haylee. Haylee did so much for Alexander even though he did for her as well. But I think Haylee did more for him than he was ever expecting to get out of everything. Having empathy and being kind goes a long way to heal yourself and others.

Alexander gives Haylee the hope that true love does exist, and not every man she meets isn't the worst guy.

This definitely gave me some You've Got Mail vibes but make him a Billionaire! I absolutely love that movie and the premise behind it!

I am a Sophie Snow Stan and this book only cemented those feelings! I love falling into her world and just going for the ride she is going to bring! And don't think it's nothing less than spectacular! 

Noelle and Shay were the opposite of each other to a point but also some of the same things in common that helped cement their relationship. I feel like with a one sided rivalry you are able to see why she felt that way, but also see where she was able to talk herself out of those feelings when she got to know her.

When you hear that Noelle has purple hair, all I can picture is the purple hair every time 😁! I loved that she felt so comfortable and confident in herself to be able to express HERSELF. She loved to bake and was living her dream, but she was able to say that it wasn't all she thought it would be. She needed something that she had missing. Shay was able to show her what she had been missing out on.

Shay fits in so well with Noelle's family! It was like she was always part of the family! I loved that they folded her into their family like she always belonged. I loved that she was always the missing piece for Noelle. 

I know that our society has some of the worst views of people, and that is something that everyone struggles with. If there were those societal issues as deep as they are I know that more people would be able to be happy. They wouldn't have to play up this facade that they aren't who they truly are. 

Sometimes saying isn't anything but a number is very true, and I loved that Shay nad Noelle were able to admit to themselves that they may not be everyone's cup of tea. But they were willing to give it a try and not let those societal norms take them down. 

I loved this book and I am sooo excited to see what else Sophie has on her agenda!

I have been a Holly Renee STAN from back in 2018, and this book only confirms why I loved her. She gave us all the cowboy vibes that we NEEDED and WANTED. She gave us heartache within the first 10% and how could you not have feelings from there on out? 

The tension was woven throughout the book like it was it's own character. How could you not feel some type of way when it could be nothing less of heart-wrenching? I would be amiss if I didn't tell you how much I loved feeling it roll off the pages as I read.

This should definitely be a roadmap for the way a LOT of cowboy romances COULD be written. The neon lights, the ranch in itself and the vibes you got as you couldn't help but smell the animals all around you. The banter kept you smiling, laughing, swooning, and wishing you had yourself a cowboy like Colt with a slutty little mustache. If I had a cowboy with a slutty little mustache, there would be very little happening other than being home with him 😊.

Not only was the banter amazing but also it left space for the quiet moments that were needed. Even if you aren't keen on the quiet moments, these were the ones that you could sit in. You would allow them because sometimes they are just needed. At times those quiet moments speak louder than words or actions.

The pacing that Holly gave this book was something I will always hold up as an example. Example in the way, that if it would have been more rushed or slower than it was wouldn't make sense. I can't tell you how much I highlighted this book! 

Colt had the filthiest mouth that I have ever wanted to grace mine, and I'm not even sorry for it. If you didn't want that mustache to scratch up the inside of your legs and face, I would be questioning your wants and needs in this life. Colt isn't for everyone, but he sure as heck could be for me!!! How could you not love a man who says, “Godspeed, Cowgirl. Make sure you hydrate. Mustache burn is REAL.” SAY LESS DADDY MUSTACHE 😍😍😍😍

Blaire knew she couldn't resist him once they came more and more in contact. HOW could she? He's not even real and I can't resist this sexy mustache walking in those tight jeans and boots. We haven't even talked about the many other attributes he had. But Blaire knew that she was gone for him after she was able to truly saw him for who he was.

Let's not forget the steam that came off of these two!! Holly is well known for the steam she packs in her books. These two characters were like a steak on the grill. It builds up as the fire gets going, and only stops when you take it off. Steam is all over this book and I am not even the least bit apologetic for loving it!

This book was such a BANGER and I am on the edge of my seat for Maggie and Hunter's story!!! That tension is going to strangle me!!!

When I first saw the form for this book, all I could think of is WOW. I had a huge feeling it would be good but what I didn't expect was for me to fall head first into this story. Once again I am at the mercy of myself because this is the first I have read of Greer's books! I have heard really good things about Greer and her writing so I thought SAY LESS. 

And if that isn't one of the best decisions I have made when it comes to reading! There are things in this book that I usually don't tend to gravitate towards, but when given the chance, it wasn't as bad as I thought it COULD be. I feel as if some of the tropes and even sexual tropes could have been MUCH worse. I have read worse, but then again what does that say about me? I'M UNHINGED, that's what it says. The writing is on the wall. If you didn't see it, HERE'S YOUR SIGN!

Luna Bordeaux, also known as Little Bird, to Orion Fury is a beautiful Ballerina caught in a feud among differing families. She is the prize among these men, but Orion refuses to take no as an answer and demands retribution for past crimes against his family. Luna is the beautiful prima ballerina that all little girls dream of being when they find their love for ballet. She knows her love for Ballet but she knows how much more she doesn't want to marry according to what she is told. She ends up in the most unexplainable situation in her eyes. She wasn't expecting to have all of the feelings that she does.

I really enjoyed seeing how things unfolded in her eyes. I loved that we were able to see how she felt and what spurred from those feelings. But I have to say I am almost more partial to Orion's side of events. He was the reckoning of forces that came in like a wrecking ball (thank you Miley.) When I saw that they were in the Appalacian Mountains all I could think was, “If you hear something, no you didn't.” I have heard that warning for years, but in this sense it couldn't have been more true!

These two got on like a wildfire in the middle of summer. They were the clashes of lightening before the storm really hit. Orion wanted nothing more than to make sure his Bride was safe, along with that bit of retribution he needed to serve up on a platter. I love that he was more than willing to take what he wanted and make the moves he needed to in order to exact the revenge owed. He knew what she meant to him among others, but not how much more she would mean to him when he was close to her. 

This was a book I had hoped would leave me speechless, and it did. Speechless to how much love can change a person who is already on a mission.

Frankie did a great job narrating this slow burn horror! I really enjoyed hearing her british accent turn into an American accent. Although, I will say her men's voice's could use a little work. Well, here I am on the second audiobook in as many days, and this one  just didn't hit the mark for me. I feel as if I am going into these books with higher hopes than I should. I hate saying that, but alas here we are. I struggled through the first 30% trying to figure out how the MMC & FMC were tied together. When I finally found it, I was trying to figure out how to have the mindset of both characters working toward the end. 

I feel as if this book should come with a content warning regarding the “camp” Madison attends. I like so many other woman have a trigger when it comes to things regarding our bodies. I had already had questions when the camp was talked about, so I was a bit confused as to why someone couldn't find another way to find the discipline they need. IDK about you but I'm not okay with physical assault as a way to do ANYTHING. I think after that I was very turned off from the whole book. It really gave me the major ✨️ICK✨️ factor I never want to have when reading a book! 

I honestly couldn't keep reading much after that. I tried my best but when I have been given the ✨️ ICK ✨️ it rarely is able to redeem itself enough for me to continue. Unfortunately,  this was the case. I refuse to make myself listen or read anything that I am not enjoying. This will only result in the book being read much slower than it should be all because I'm not enjoying it. And that's not fair to anyone. I don't like giving low ratings, you can check it's rare that I do give these. Because I feel as if because the book wasn't for me, it could easily be for someone else.

In 1998, a band called The Shivers is formed by Lily and her boyfriend Drake. They then oull in Ramona, Eric, and Malcom. This literally gave me allll the Behind The Music vibes with some horror included. I had such high hopes for this audio but, unfortunately it just didn't hit the mark I thought it would. There was soooo much time spent on getting to know the other people in the band than Lily and Drake. 

I loved that they each had their story to tell, but I feel like there was too much time spent on other things than the meatiest part of the story. I kept thinking okay its coming soon. I got bored with it after waiting for something to really happen. 

I finally just gave up on it. I just couldn't keep listening if there wasn't anything to really grab me and keep me on the edge of my seat. Luckily, there are plenty of reviewers on here who give you the whole book in their review. So all I had to do was look through some reviews to see what happened in the end.

Disappointed is what I am. I felt like this had sooo uch more potential and instead of spending so much time on other things they could have given us more horror. Not the mention the Antichrist theme is sooo overplayed. (Hello Religious Trauma, so glad you came to play.)

I have said this before and I will contine to say it to my last breath. Connor and Stella will always be the power duo of romance audio 😍. I'm not the hugest fan of dual narration, but this was a book that I could care less. As long as they were whispering this book in my ears, I didn't care. I will gladly get through the female voices Connor does so well! I do love ANYTHING he voices! He gives the characters so much life and emotion behind everything as if he was the character himself. I love that not just Connor but also Stella gives a BEAUTIFUL voicing of Fallon, and I couldn't help but be emotional during the parts where Fallon was truly distraught. I honestly don't think that many narrators can do what Stella and Connor can when they get their hands on their mic and the book in front of them. 

✨️📖 On To The Book Review 📖✨️

This book did so much to me. I cried, I felt everything soo deeply. I wept, squealed at the happy parts, and couldn't help but kick my little short legs when certain parts hit just right. I always have these reactions to Catherine's books. She knows what wrecks me every single time. I love that she isn't afraid to talk about the hard things that so many people go through. Adoption is such a taboo thing for so many people to accept and embrace. I love that adoption gives so many children the homes that they need. It breaks my heart when I hear someone say that they wouldn't adopt because that child would never truly be theirs. I always go back to the rule of how would you feel if you were that child? You would hope that someone would take a chance on you, even if you are the biggest risk they will ever take.

Fallon and Kye couldn't have been more perfect for each other. I loved these two soooo hard. Life hadn't been easy for Kye, but Fallon knew she would do ANYTHING for him so that he could stay. Fallon has such a big heart for those that never belonged where they were. Her parents had shown her that family doesn't mean blood, You can make a family with so much more than blood. I loved that her family had such bog hearts and was so willing to bring in kiddos that needed a home. There is nothing more pure than a heart that is willing to do anything for a child in need and truly love them like they are their own bioligical children. 

I loved the bond that Fallon and Kye shared. It was the bond so many people yearn for, Sparrow Falls is a place of hope and love that so many people need. I loved that he called her Sparrow and told her “My spark in the dark, all that's good.” She was his hope in a sea of sorrow.” Hope is something so many people cling to and you can't help but feel the feelings it instills.Kye told Fallon she is his safe haven, and I can't help but feel the love just thinking about that moment in the audiobook. 

Kye was a man that had a heart filled with love for Fallon, but he felt as if he was too dark for her. He wasn't the darkness he thought he was. He felt that darkness that was instilled in him from his parents. Like so many children don't grow up as rascists or mean spirited. They are taught that and cling to it because thats all they know. Kye took his anger out in fights, that later caused so much more havoc in his life than he ever expected. He was able to get himself out of the depths of that world but still felt that darkness that was within. He wanted nothing more than to be a pure soul for Fallon. He didn't want to drag her down with him. What he didn't see was how Fallon was his anchor to the world he wanted to be a part of. He was the man that she always knew he could be, the love of her life.

 I loved Fallon sooo much! She had the biggest heart and would do anything she could to take care of the kids she was working to keep in safe homes. Fallon was taught how to be the best person and to the kids even when they aren't yours. She loved the kids that she had cases for because she wanted nothing more than the best outcome for them. It broke my heart when she felt guilty over something she couldn't have changed. I felt so deeply for her, because I would have felt the same way! I loved that she and Kye had the bond that they did. They may have been siblings at 16, but were so much more than that before. They had the solid friendship that stood the test of time.

Seeing how they embraced Hayden, Clem, and Gracie without thinking twice about it. The bond that they were able to build, was something that was so beautiful. When the girls were truly able to be kids, you were able to see their personalities shine! I loved that Gracie was our funny girl! She even remarks that she is hilarious 😂.  And she truly is, I loved that we also got to see Keely and the other kiddos along with Gran. There will never be a time when Gran is in one of the books that I won't EAT IT UP! I love that she is soo much fun, and gives me all the vibes I would love to have in a Gran!

I can't say this enough but I truly love Catherine Cowles and her genius that is this series! She has woven her writing and characters into my heart in such a way that's hard to explain. When you feel it, you'll know.

I went into this knowing nothing of the author but the cover is what sold me. I have been a huge headless hunter fan since I truly fell when I saw him on Sleepy Hollow with Johnny Depp. Yeah, Yeah I know its not always the same. BUT it only showed me a different side of him compared to so many others that are out there.

I really enjoyed this dark spooky romance that definitely gave me all the spicy vibes and some thrills along the way. I loved that there was such a hige twist at the end! I wanted to know so much more!

Fletcher and Laney went right to my heart! The history that they had between them not to mention the chemistry!!! The angst could be felt as it rolled off the pages in waves! I loved that these two may have had a complicated history but were able to overcome it! Miscommunication isn't my favorite trope, so it took me a little bit more of a push to like it.

I loved that there was Type One Diabetes Rep in this book!! I am diabetic and I love that authors are including this within a story!!! There isn't enough books with this representation even though there are a lot of us as readers that have Diabetes! Some would say that it was creepy of him to put himself into her meter but I think It was cute and sometimes something that I helpful! I know without my husband I would struggle way harder than I already do!

I am so excited to see where the series goes from here!

I have been a Marie Johnston Stan for a while now and I always get so excited when I know she Is fixing to drop a new book! This book is the third in the Return To Coal Haven and set in North Dakota. If you haven't read any of her books that are set in Coal Haven I highly recommend you checking them out! They are all standalone but do interconnect with other books. If you love Cowboys set on a family ranch, or anything around a a large family, this is the author and series for you!

Poppy, Jenson and Augie stole my heart! I loved seeing the chemistry as the story developed, not to mention how Poppy and Augie got along. If you didn't know, I am a marriage of convenience JUNKIE! Poppy and Jenson were the two people who needed each other even if they didn't want to admit it. They had the banter that I love and the moments in between that gave us the greatest crescendo.

I can't help but say how much Poppy and Jenson couldn't have weathered worse circumstances on their own. They had each other when things got hard, even if at times they didn't know what they were going to do. They were able to work things through in order to see that even when things get rough they are there for each other.

I know when Poppy was asked by Jenson if she would help him with his business, she was thinking there is no way this is going to end well. With both people realizing how much they needed each other, they were able to see how well they fit each other like the last puzzle piece in the bigger puzzle.

Last but not least, I have to say this book has Marie's amazing Spice that she is known for! She could give us the bare minimum but she knows exactly how to make it work! I am so beyond excited for the next book she has for us!

I love me a Christmas book when it is filled with all kinds of cheer and shenanigans, and this book was nothing short of WONDERFUL! I loved every single time Wren and Adam would banter back and forth! We cannot forget the neighborly feud that was had between them! 

Wren was a woman after my own heart! I love Christmas and I felt all the holiday spirit when she was trying to bring some Christmas Cheer to Adam. Adam was the perfect grinch who said NO! But Wren is a woman on a mission and refused to stop until she had hit him hard enough with some Christmas spirit. Poor Adam just wanted to escape and not do anything. But that just wasn't what was in the books for him!

They were the perfect match for each other! I loved that he met her with his own holiday spirit! Even if it wasn't the same she had, he still came with something. 

I really enjoyed this book and all of the shenanigans! Its the perfect book to start of the Christmas season!
