This was decent, but a very simple and unchallenged take on feminism, or shall I say white feminism. I didn't hate but I didn't find it that engaging either. The random JFK  assassination being the turning point for Margaret is weird to say the least.

Don't ever change, Emily Austin. I will keep reading your neurodivergent-lesbian-having-a-crisis book.

The thing is that I felt like the book was trying to do a bit too much. It was like reading 2 different books with a very weird and abrupt transition in the middle.

I love Murderbot but... I think I prefer this series to just be novellas. The simple plot does not hold enough weight for it to be a full-length novel.

I don't know why I was expecting so much more from this book, my bad. It was cute, charming, and overall a decent read. The plot was eh, the pacing was meh, the world building is vague, the characters are lovely though. Don't think Im gonna continue with the rest of the series.

Andy Serkis is just too good at this, idk.

Absolutely phenomenal. This book is so good and thought-provoking. Please don't skip the footnotes.

Where life is precious, life is precious.

This is multiple POVs storytelling done right. I can't wait to learn more about this world and these characters in the later books in the series!

It's a classic for a reason. The depth of every single character of the fellowship is explored in so much more details than in the (already amazing) movie. Will continue the rest of the series. And Andy Serkis is brilliant as always.

Murderbot broke his back carrying his human companions, like for real.

Love it when a book goes “everything you thought you knew about this book is wrong”, but in an interesting way.

Reading this book is like listening to a friend pouring their heart out to you. I can't help but keep listening and listening and hoping I could help them somehow.

I have my theory about which one of the women is white.

I'm not above blackmailing, go Alice.
This book was cute, not something particularly special, but cute.

What an amazing book, wow. I love this book so much. The covid flashback I got listening to this book as an Asian woman is unreal.
