One HELL of a read, and a pleasant ride so far. Makes me want to have a crone of my own, except this crone Claire has a mind of her own, especially after receiving a necklace cum antique magical witch charm/talisman with dimensional/portent altering powers from her favorite grandson Brendan during her disastrously anti-climactic birthday party. Also, a murder of crows is always waiting a stone's throw away, just outside Claire's front door.
As far as (sub) urban or weird fantasy goes, what more of a mere portent for fascinating future events could you as a reader expect to want when you and protagonist Claire are more than (merely and/or merrily) along for this (literary) ride?
