It picked up towards the end, but the first half of the book was a bit of a hard slog to get through. I don't think I'll be picking up the rest of the series unless Amazon do a special offer on them.
Found this a bit hard going and got bored. Only finished it as I don't like not finishing a book.
I first tried reading this sometime in the nineties, but didn't get very far with it. It was all a bit ‘out there'. I had recently started reading SK books, but just found this one too different from what I had read so far. I just read this again, and found it much easier to read. I don't know if this is just because I've read many more books since then, grown up, or it's a result of the revisions being made. I'm not going to read all the series in one go, but will definitely try and get through the rest of them over the next 12 months, then wait to see if they finally make a movie/TV series out of it.
I thought I had lost interest in reading in general while I was reading this book, but actually after I powered my way through it, I realised I had just lost interest in the book. It's not that great, and doesn't really add anything to the mythology. You aren't missing anything by not reading it.
