Anne Mainwaring Barrett was British and was born in 1911. She is listed as Associate and Story Editor at the Children's Film Foundation from 1959-1964 and her publications are listed as *Caterpillar Hall*, *The Dark Island*, *The Journey of Johnny Rew*, *Stolen Summer*, *Sheila Burton: Dental Assistant*, *Songberd's Grove*, and *Midway*. And in 1982 she is listed as living at Cliff Cottage, Ticehurst, Sussex, England.
