João Tordo

João Tordo was born in Lisbon in 1975.
In 2009, he won the prestigious José Saramago Literary Prize with the novel "As Três Vidas", also shortlisted for the Portugal Telecom Prize in Brazil. He was shortlisted four times for the prestigious Fernando Namora Literary Prize (2011, 2012, 2015, 2016) and twice for Best Novel at the Portuguese Author's Society (2011 and 2015). He was also shortlisted for the European Literary Award in 2012 and received the GQ Magazine Literature Prize 2014. His novels have been published in several countries, including France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Hungary, Mexico, Argentina or Brazil. He has published eleven novels.

João Tordo nasceu em Lisboa em 1975. Formado em Filosofia pela Universidade Nova de Lisboa, venceu o Prémio Literário José Saramago 2009 com As Três Vidas (2008), tendo sido finalista, com o mesmo romance, do Prémio Portugal Telecom, em 2011. Foi também finalista do Prémio Melhor Livro de Ficção Narrativa da Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores em 2011 e 2015 e do Prémio Fernando Namora em 2011, 2012 e 2015; e ainda da 6.ª edição do Prémio Literário Europeu. Recebeu o prémio Homem do Ano - Categoria Literatura da revista GQ em 2014. Os seus livros estão publicados em vários países, incluindo França, Itália, Alemanha, Espanha, Hungria, México ou Brasil. Em 2017 publicou "O Deslumbre de Cecilia Fluss", o último volume de uma trilogia.
