Author Bio

Patrick’s fiction has been included in The Best American Short Stories. His nonfiction has appeared in Granta, Electric Literature, the anthology Tales of Two Cities, and elsewhere. He’s written three books for young adults: SAINTS OF AUGUSTINE, GEMINI BITES, and IN MIKE WE TRUST.

Patrick grew up in Florida and lived in Ohio and Virginia before moving to New York in 1998. He’s received writing fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the MacDowell Foundation, and the Bogliasco Foundation. An avid pinball player and outsider art collector, he lives in Manhattan and is the editor-in-chief of the award-winning, Brooklyn-based literary magazine One Story.
