Susan Specht Oram

Susan is writing novels set in the Pacific Northwest. Her brief business books offer pointers on investor relations, crisis communications and public relations.

She’s served as senior director of corporate communications for biotechnology companies. Her essays were published in Mothering Magazine, Twins Magazine and Utne Reader. She’s worked as an activity aide in a nursing home’s psychiatric unit. She was a potter and painter with an art studio and small gallery in Seattle. She’s also been a market researcher, a nurse’s aide, a waitress and a library page.

Susan grew up near Detroit, Michigan and received a BFA with Honors from University of Oregon and a MBA in Marketing from Seattle University. She’s a member of NetGalley, the Pacific Northwest Writers Association and Women’s Fiction Writers Association. She lives in a windy part of the Pacific Northwest with her husband.
