Author Bio

Trent Angers is an accomplished journalist whose credentials include two nominations for the Nobel Prize in Literature and 36 years as editor and publisher of one of the longest-running regional magazines in U.S. history. Besides that, he is a top-flight public speaker on topics that flow from some of the well-researched books he has authored: *The Forgotten Hero of My Lai: The Hugh Thompson Story*; *The Truth about the Cajuns*; and *Grand Coteau: The Holy Land of South Louisiana*.

He also tells a very inspiring story about an unlikely Louisiana couple who rescued (in an airboat) hundreds of helpless New Orleans residents who were stranded in or on top of their flooded homes after Hurricane Katrina devastated their city in 2005. And he gives a very encouraging motivational speech based in part on the writings of those who have inspired him most: Henry David Thoreau, Dale Carnegie, Og Mandino, former LSU basketball Coach Dale Brown, and Dr. Norman Vincent Peale.
