I genuinely feel like Yugami is the most autistic character I've ever read, and I still do know how I feel about it. It goes without saying that when I say autistic I don't mean it in 1. a bad way or 2. the TikTok “funny” way. I wonder if the author is autistic themselves or is basing Yugami on someone they know. I feel like the humor is a bit hit or miss, but I don't know if that is because I'M autistic and I just don't get it? Overall, the series is being very enjoyable and I'm excited to see the romantic aspect of it develop. I'd hate it if the whole point was for Yugami to “improve”, but I think he's already being understood and more aware of other people's feelings. I don't know. It also feels like it's taking me forever to read just a couple chapters a day whereas I've just finished a longer (albeit faster-paced) manga in a couple of days... I don't tend to rate books but these 4 volumes so far have been a clear 3/5.
