I had mixed feelings about this book. I really enjoyed the setting. The descriptions of Malta, the Maltese and their food and customs were fantastic. I also found the mystery very compelling and I was very keen to get to the solution. I, however, found the book was quite slow at times and I found that the jumping from one conversation to another without warning off putting and confusing. I also found some of the sub plots unnecessary. Overall I did enjoy the book and I gave it 3 stars.
