A Dowry of Blood

I feel insane for not liking this? I partially think this didn't work for me simply because of my expectations. I walked in expecting a heartbreaking story of a polygamous vampire relations with beautiful writing. While I can say I love the writing style, everything else fell so flat for me. I did not like the lack of plot, the MMC was an abusive dick which was apart of the whole story but still I hated him, both of our FMCs had two personality traits which are delusional and having no backbone, the last character introduced was a young man that had no depth.

This story was a three until our FMC said the love for the young boy, WHO WAS 19 and she was now centuries old as a vampire, was like a mother and son love but then a chapter or two later is FUCKING him. I just couldn't get past that.
