Soon, what seems to be a simple commission to buy a select item at an estate sale in New York becomes an extremely perilous situation, involving both armies of daemons and wealthy mortals who have delved far too deeply into the dark arts. Only time will tell whether Evan and his partners can bring the case to a successful conclusion with themselves and the mortal plane still intact . . .
