A Table for Three

Ruthie Knox seems to be one of the rising stars in contemporary category romance, so I've really tried to like her books. But they don't quite work for me. I like what she is trying to do in terms of empowering her heroines. I like the fact that May is a big, Midwestern woman who learns to love her true self as she falls in love with Ben. But Knox's voice just doesn't work for me and I can't quite put my finger on the reasons. So I'll just chalk it up to “authors others love that I don't.”
