Anne of Green Gables

I actually don't have many thoughts about this book. I just really loved it.
Realmente no tengo muchas opiniones sobre este libro. Sólo realmente lo amé.

The story didn't quite keep me gripped the entire time, but I think that's because of how is all like a series of short stories and happenings in Anne's life throughout the years covered in this first book, it's not one full storyline to follow through the whole novel.
La historia no precisamente me mantuvo atrapada todo el tiempo, pero pienso que es porque es como una serie de historias cortas y sucesos en la vida de Anne a lo largo de los años cubiertos en este primer libro, no es una sola historia en línea por todo el libro.

Something to point out is that I did watch Netflix's series Anne with an E before reading this, so I was expecting something completely different. Which doesn't mean I was disappointed. This book is full of beautiful descriptions, witty dialogs, lovable characters and heartwarming affairs that got me completely immersed in Prince Edward Island's 20th century atmosphere - and I was fascinated by it.
Algo que me gustaría denotar es que vi la serie de Netflix Anne with an E antes de leerlo, así que estaba esperando algo completamente diferente. Lo que no quiere decir que me decepcioné. Este libro está lleno de descripciones bellísimas, diálogos ingeniosos, personajes encantadores y sucesos conmovedores que me sumergieron por completo en la atmósfera del siglo XX de la Isla Prince Edward - y quedé fascinada.

This coming-of-age tale of an 11 year old former orphan with a head full of imagination and a heart full of hope, has everything I look for in a good story: excitement, love, friendship, a bit of drama, and characters that make you root for them as well as love them.
