oh my tannies, what words can i say to you that will express the deep love and fondness i have for you? 💜💜
I bought this book when it was first released, so so excited to read in more depth and detail this amazing story about seven ordinary yet extraordinary boys from different parts of Korea, how they changed music for the better…..all from the love and appreciation they had for music in the first place. their story is a true underdog story. it’s hard not to love them, how genuine and down to earth they are, their aspirations and dreams- it’s so so beautiful to see it all in depth.
I will be honest, i cried during a lot of parts in the book. (top two: talking about breakwings in detail and end of her/tear era where they were so close to disbanding; i was sobbing like a baby, had to read these parts in my room alone bc i was inconsolable 😭) they have gone through so much- right off the bat they had to deal with hate from others who would belittle them, under estimate them. it’s honestly heartbreaking, reading it makes me think that they were so strong to have to endure so much from the moment they debuted.
i may be biased ranking this 5 stars but honestly, it’s beautiful and it’s well written. since this book was done along with interviews of the tannies through a span of 3 (?) years, i appreciate the author describing the mood, the facial expressions and tone of each member when those interview portions would appear (which is 90%) even to the point of describe how they would speak and their thoughts behind it bc they (bts) would of stated it. it made me feel like i was their with them and that i could view their story from such an intimate and personal level 💜 all in all, this a beautiful book that’ll sure make army even more proud of our tannies and even readers curious about bts, appreciate their journey from truly humble beginnings to stardom on a flight that never lands 💜🥹

i've been reading this book for a while now, i just read it in small parts since i've been so busy with college and toh, i cry at some parts seeing how hard the tannies have worked to get to where they are now.... it makes me so proud and so so happy to be an army and to support them endlessly 💜 {IMPORTED FROM GOODREADS - MAY 2024}

thinking back to th a t mama speech and how bts struggled so much that whole year, but they still showed us so much unconditional and precious love- oh i'm gonna sob my tannies ilysm 🥺😭💜 {IMPORTED FROM GOODREADS - JUNE 2024}
namu really went through a lot with the amount of interviews they did dna era, all in English and with so many different questions that could put them at risk (ex. about the idol industry).....and hobi and kook talking about how they really wanted to help but couldn't and praised namu for all he did back then {IMPORTED FROM GOODREADS - JULY 2024}
reading the most intimate thoughts of the tannies during the tear era: their complex and intense negative feelings, their suffering and contemplating disbanding- but stayed for army, for us and through that slowly could gain control of it all ....we don't deserve these boys i love them so much 😭😭💜 {IMPORTED FROM GOODREADS - JULY 2024}
"maybe i made a mistake yesterday, but yesterday's me is still me. today, i am who i am with all of my flaws and my mistakes. tomorrow, i might be a tiny bit wiser, and that'll be me too." - kim namjoon, 2018 💜 {IMPORTED FROM GOODREADS - JULY 2024}
thinking about how i was watching the persona v-live during my lunch, having the album on repeat during high school and my parents surprising me with my second album (and my first jimin pc 🥹💖) {IMPORTED FROM GOODREADS - JULY 2024}
