“They say it's good to let your grudges go, but I don't know, I'm quite fond of my grudge. I tend it like a little pet.”

This book was a lot of fun, although it made me quite uneasy at times: the descriptions of what had happened to Jane. Moriarty writes in a distinctly engaging manner, it was easy to get attached to the characters and see them as real people. I think she's great at character development. The police interviews were a great addition and effective comic relief. I enjoyed the twist at the end, however, I did guess a big part of it right from the beginning, not about who had died, but that other thing: who the father was.

All in all, this was an engrossing and highly readable book. I must check out Moriarty's other books.
