Meh.
I really enjoyed the first book in this series but this one didn't keep me as interested. It was short & I was able to read it in a day so that was great. I really like both main characters, but the MC aspect fell short for me.
The Motorcycle Club (MC) trope is my absolute favorite! But with that being said, it makes me pretty picky about what I read. In the first book, I felt that the MC was put on the back burner. I didn't get to know the club too well. We got to know some of the guys but I didn't feel anything for any of them. (I want to be excited for the upcoming books & I can't be because I felt nothing for them.) Also, if they die, I would really like for it to affect me. There was so much death in this book and I felt nothing for any of the men. Mirabella was the only one that I felt for but even then, I didn't shed a tear. With this book, I felt like the author was trying to make up for not putting so much about the club in the first book, and there was just A LOT going on in this one.
I really liked Cade and Indy. I felt that they were both pretty strong characters, and I would have loved reading more about them. These books are just too short and the whole thing just felt rushed which is a shame because the author is definitely a talented writer!
Unfortunately, I doubt that I will continue with this series. However, I will keep my eye out for other books by this author.
