What the hell was the xenophobic towards Polish people in this? Now it kinda was meant to be okay because one of the big bads was Polish but it just immediately started with some statements that made me feel very uncomfy like calling them “savages”. I just think some things aren't needed especially with such xenophobic attitudes towards Polish people in society. Also there was the whole “shes not like other girls”. Also the misogyny in here i feel like was much. Now i know its a thing in mafia romances but i felt like so much of this was based on that and it was never addressed. Usually the romances I read, by the end, the woman usually shakes up her situation and has a lot more control and power. In this, i feel like her situation and surroundings remained unchanged and was still misogynistic at the end. They fell in love which is all gd and that, but her family and his never saw an issue with what they did, their attitudes remained the same to the other females in the book and he still had so much misogynistic views masked underneath him being a “dominant man”. Im sorry but the spanking scene was fine but in conjunction with the removing clothes and forcing her to wear what he wants as well as other things made me uncomfy
