I'm a huge Sandra Boynton fan so bear in mind that I gave this book bonus points for just being a Boynton story. Also bear in mind that to truly appreciate this book you must have read and treasured the book that inspired it, But Not the Hippo.
It's a little tale, like all Boynton books, of an armadillo who sets off on his own path, an armadillo who goes where his nose leads him, who isn't antisocial but isn't willing to simply go along, an armadillo who is an independent, but who might need a tiny bit of reassurance now and then.
Like all Boynton books, this book only gets better with a rereading, with a closer examination of the pictures and the words. Read it with But Not the Hippo for a great and full reading experience.
