Every great short story writer has to have a tale where a man sells his soul to the devil. Henry Kuttner was one of the greatest science fiction short story writers. This is his contribution to the genre.

In this story, James Fenwick sells his soul to the devil in return for immortality and eternal youth, but in order to make Fenwick's wish effective, the Devil takes something from Fenwick. Fenwick used his liberation from mortality to indulge all of his evil ways, but, over time, something seems missing.

Could the Devil have taken something important from Fenwick?

What could happen if Fenwick gets it back?
