This is a new, digitally enhanced reprint of the vocal score originally issued by Breitkopf & Härtel, Leipzig ca. 1910 to compliment the Bach Gesellschaft edition of the complete works. Composed in 1731 during Bach's tenure as kantor of the Thomaskirche in Leipzig, this longtime favorite of the cantatas had its premiere on November 25th of that year.
