Cute, quick romance between a reclusive former rockstar drummer and a nice guy piano teacher who crushed on her twenty years ago at the peak of her fame. They are brought together through the machinations of the MMC's 18 year old son. Unlike Norman's earlier book, [b:We're All Damaged 28959148 We're All Damaged Matthew Norman https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1457221465l/28959148.SY75.jpg 49185839], the FMC has her own arc and doesn't just serve as the Manic Pixie Dream Girl who rescues the MMC. Includes a few too many POVs, especially in the middle of the novel, and there are about 50 pages of madcap hijinks and zany encounters that seem to belong in a different story. But the strong sense of place (the author's hometown of Baltimore) and a sweet HEA make Charm City Rocks my favorite Norman novel to date.
