Chasing the Sun

I got this debut novel as a Kindle first, and didn't know what to expect. Reminded me vaguely of Bel Canto, due to the tension and kidnapping, but the resemblance stopped there.
It was well written, gripping, I couldn't help but getting involved with Andres and the awful life he had been leading, cringing with what he goes through before Guillermo, wondering till the last minute about Marabela, Elena, even the aftermath. In my book,pardon the pun, that is a good story.
