Crown of Lies

So I have to put this out there first, I actually know this author personally she and I went to school together and our little sisters were best friends. So was super excited to read her book!

Now I am not as into fantasy as I use to be but this book felt very nostalgic for me, took me back today some of my early reading days and was very enjoyable to read. I love the variety of fae and magical beings, and I think them not all just being sexy was great and unique. I liked the pace I found it to be quick but interesting. And I really enjoyed a lot of the side characters. For me personally the romance was less my thing I am not as big a fan of large (100+) age gaps in books but that is a personal taste thing other wise it was written well. The written was good especially for a debut novel. Overall I give this a solid 3.75/5
