My goodness, this was the best Rock Harbor book so far – by far. I can't even say much, because everything I want to gush over would spoil the entire story for anyone who hasn't yet read it. Make sure you read the series in order (but skim Abomination/Haven of Swans if you get queasy), but wowza. When you get to this one, you're going to be blown away.
The earth-shattering shocker blew my mind and kept me quite riveted. I just still can't get over it. What a twist!
I love that Davy – Dave – is growing up, but it's happening much too fast, as with all children. He's still adorable as ever, and I couldn't get enough of him. I was glad he was highly featured in this story.
Samson was great again, of course, as were Bree and Kade and Anu.
The plot was superb and quite twisty and fantastic. I really can't tell you how much I loved it.
Y'all, there were babies involved, and this made me smile so much. I loved the baby angles too. There were a couple of different ways they were included, and that added depth to the plot.
This book was tense, packed with action, emotional, complex, and completely up my alley. It's my favorite of the series thus far.
