Several years ago, I stumbled across [a:Francesca Lia Block 9072 Francesca Lia Block http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1203556452p2/9072.jpg] and loved being wrapped up in the sparkly, trippy, fairytale stories. Are they deep? No. But they are sweet precious stories. I would consider them to be YA versions of [a:Sarah Addison Allen 566874 Sarah Addison Allen http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1238635621p2/566874.jpg]-type stories–seeing the world through magical eyes. Both authors' stories restore my faith in humanity and make me wish I could see the world in the same light. I have not re-read them recently so the potential exists that they would not hold up as well on the second read but I do remember the stories fondly.
