Dark Energy - Return to Becker Circle

Addison Brae is creating a new heroine for us to root and we get to see her rise from the ashes. They say that every superhero has a dark past from which they rise and save the world, well here is Gillian.

Dark Energy: Return to Becker Circle is about a crime that is hard to track and catch the criminals: cybercrime. It is even harder when the Feds believe that they already have their perpetrator. Brae combines Gillian's accounting skills, her life experience, and her growing list of friends to save her mentor when the authorities fail to do so.

Brae leads us on a merry chase. Brae manages to make cybercrime exciting which can be hard to do. Brae has created an intriguing character in Gillian as she is only twenty-one-years-old and she has already gone through so much (trying to be careful of not giving away any spoilers). Dark Energy is a standalone book, but I suggest reading the first book as it explains exactly where Gillian is now.

I haven't mentioned the hot boyfriend yet have I? Gillian of course lucks out, finally, with a musician boyfriend who writes her songs, hence the title of the book. Brae does manage to throw a wrench in there too.

Dark Energy has mystery, a dark past which breathes in the present, a hot boyfriend, and a loyal leading lady who will kill to save you. What more could you ask for?
