This cover is pretty good. I am not much of a fan of the photo used but the composition is fabulous. The heroine has blonde hair so one could say it is a good representation of the her character. The title work is also interesting and eye-catching.
You know what thought kept going through my head whilst I read this fantastic book? We need more male romance authors! I LOVED this one, and that is indeed a recommendation from yours truly since I am usually bored to tears with these insta low angst books.
This one though was just so fantastically written and paced. Like I said it is a very instant attraction and the sexual chemistry between these two characters virtually jumps off the page. On top of that the sex scenes were smokin'. There really isn't any angst or unnecessary over the top drama. Even when certain truths come to light, the reactions are pretty low key. No OW/OM drama. The secondary characters are interesting (I hope Callen's brother gets a book of his own). I wouldn't say they have a lot of depth, but they all added an extra layer to the story. Both main characters were extremely likable. Callen is 38, broody, damaged, and smokin' hot. Noelle is 22, a virgin, and has been pretty much sheltered her whole life. A heroine like that will usually annoy me but this one was sweet and strong and a good foil for our damaged hero. It all wraps up with a five weeks later chapter. I would have preferred to see a further into the future epilogue, but I wasn't too bothered by it.
All in all a fantastic and enjoyable read that gets two HUGE thumbs up from yours truly.
